View question results

View question results feature allows you to show how many people answered your questions the same way or differently. It can be interesting for respondents to see how other respondents answered the same question.

1. Activate View question results

Go to the Extra Options tab in the Quiz Options section click View question results.

Then click activate view question results.

Now you can decide if you want to show results per slide and/or show results at the end of the survey.

TIP


You'll need to weigh up if showing results per slide will lengthen your survey too much, or if it is appropriate and interesting.



2. Hide the Previous button

You don't want respondents going back and changing their answers if they find out they were wrong. To stop this from happening, you can remove the button that allows respondents to go back to the previous question. 

Find this setting in the Design tab, right down in the final section of Additional Design elements. Toggle to the left to hide the Previous button.

3. Activate API Key

One more thing you'll need to do for this feature to work, is to generate an API key. Check if you have one by going to My Account.

Scroll down to Technical info. If you see an API key already there, you do not need to do anything else! If not, click generate an API key, and now the feature is ready!

You’ll probably find the View Question Results feature useful if you’re using Pointerpro for voting or at an event, where the survey is short and snappy, and respondents are interested to know how their answers compare to others.

What's next?

  • Use a quiz timer to discourage respondents from searching on the internet for the right answers as they'll be out of time. Or simply use it to build up the suspense! You can select how many time the respondents have to complete your survey and what will happen when their time is up.
  • Survey Widgets are different formats of content that you can include in your survey. This allows you to display data, for example, in graphs or tables, based on the respondent's answer. If you include variables in your data fields, your charts will display customized data from the responses. You could choose to show an answer given to a question, the score from a question or question block, or many other variables.

  • Question logic – use rules in your survey so that respondents are only shown questions that are relevant to them. Question logic allows you to specify which question to go to or go to the end of the questionnaire, based on the answer to a preceding question, quiz score, or contact data. Alternatively, you can decide to show or hide certain questions based on the criteria you set.
