ReportR: Page or Section Break

By default, each section (widget) in your PDF report is placed one underneath the next and a new page will start whenever necessary. But for esthetic purposes, it can be handy to start a section on the next page. Use a Page or Section Break widget when you want to have a specific section (widget) starting on a new page. This is also a handy widget if you want to add a background color to specific pages of your report.
This guide will take you through:
1 Setting up the widget
1.1 Basic page break set-up
When you've added the page or section break widget, there's not much more you need to do! Just check that the page padding is as you want it. Adjust it using the arrows or by entering the desired value in mm.
NOTE
The pages until the first page break will use the options that you set in the Design tab. After you have inserted a page break, the page padding values will apply to all of the pages until the next page break.
Here's an example of how page breaks are used to ensure that each part of the report will start on a new page.
1.2 Page Background
Why not jazz up your report by making an interesting page color? Use this widget to set different colored sections of your PDF report.
NOTE
Backgrounds will only work when the page margins set in the Design tab are all set to 0.
Once you've set the page margins to 0, the page background options will be visible.
NOTE
If you want to use backgrounds (image or color), the first widget MUST be a page break (even though it has no background yet). Don't worry - this will not create a blank page.
Click the pencil icon to select the background color, and if you want to add a background image, click Add and upload your image.
2 Widget logic rules
You can add widget logic rules if you only want a page break to occur under certain conditions. Click add rule and now select which condition from the drop-down menu should be used to decide when to show the widget.
Once you've chosen the initial condition, you can specify exactly what conditions need to be met, for example the answer on question must be greater than a certain number. If you need a more complex condition, click on the white circle with a purple + sign to add criteria that will be in addition to the other criteria (AND), or instead of (OR).
Tip: If you have set up outcomes, you can choose an outcome as the criteria for showing the widget. Choose outcome from the drop-down menu and then select what the outcome should or should not equal so that the widget will be shown. You can set the outcome as the only criteria, or as an additional criteria as shown below. In this example, we clicked the purple + button and added that the widget should be shown if both the response on intro field criteria AND the outcome criteria is fulfilled.
Once you've saved your logic rules, don't forget to save your PDF and you're ready to add more widgets!
